ALICE GEORGE PEREZ PRESENTS ‘A SONG WITH THE TITLE OF LUNCH BELLS’
Brusselse singer-songwriter die met haar typerende finger-picking gitaarstijl zweeft tussen indie-folk en avant-pop. Ze houdt het midden tussen Sibylle Baier en Paul McCartney, met een vleugje Aldous Harding. Najaar 2025 verschijnt haar debuut A Song with the Title of Lunch Bells via Mokuhi Sonorities (zie ook: Mobilhome), het label van contrabassist Nicolas Rombouts (zie ook: SPOOK, Dez Mona, Jim White, …) met wie ze tevens het podium deelt.
MOBILEHOME PRESENTS ‘THAT THOUGHT TENDER’
Mobilhome omschrijft hun muziek als “avant- garde jazz music for nostalgic pop-rock boomers, or birdsongs lovers”. De groepsnaam mag dan onbekend in de oren klinken, de groepsbezetting is dat allerminst. Spilfiguur Camille-Alban Spreng (tevens present in bodies en met zijn eigen band ODIL) wordt bijgestaan door Vitja Pauwels (zie ook: Naima Joris, Bombataz en Sound Of Brussels Orchestra), Sam Comerford (zie ook: Hendrik Lasure & warm bad, Lennart Heyndels (Hi Hawaii, Alex Koo Trio) en Théo Lanau. Najaar 2025 verschijnt (eveneens via via Mokuhi Sonorities) hun indrukwekkende album That Thought Tender dat mogelijks als een uppercut binnenkomt.
Tip voor een gelukkiger muzikaler leven: Camille-Alban Spreng treedt tevens op in AB op donderdag 5 februari in het kader van De Week Van De Belgische Muziek met de band bodies.
